They play as Beaters on the Gryffindor Quidditch team.
Fred and George Weasley: twins, older brothers of Ron and Ginny. In the PS2, GameCube and XBox versions, Harry also has to find Ginny's quill, brass scales and spellotape in Diagon Alley.
Ginny Weasley: Ron's little sister, who Harry has to rescue at the end of the game.
In the PC/MAC game, she also leads Harry to classes. She is petrified toward the end of the game.
Hermione Granger: Harry's other best friend, a brainy girl who is rarely with Harry most of the game, except in cut scenes. In the PC/MAC game, Ron usually leads Harry to challenges instead of classes. Ron Weasley: Harry's best friend, usually seen leading Harry to class or to the Quidditch stadium, or in cut scenes. Harry Potter: Main character and only playable character. Note: not all characters appear in all versions of the game. 4 Differences between the book/movie and game. Hopefully Hogwarts Legacy can achieve the same level of wonder and immersion next year. Chamber of Secrets was a truly immersive experience, and a Harry Potter fan's dream come true. On the PlayStation 2 version, players could even land their broomstick anywhere, allowing them to access areas never seen in the movies up to that point. This was especially the case when players unlocked the ability to summon their broomstick at any point and fly all around the castle and grounds. It may seem a bit lifeless and empty looking back now, but 20 years ago, this felt like a dream come true. Though its map size isn't all that big, Chamber of Secrets does let players freely explore Hogwarts Castle and its grounds. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' remarkably high level of immersion is reinforced by the game's free-roam elements. Hogwarts Legacy looks to be trying to achieve the same feeling of immersion, but with the announcement that lessons are going to act more like side missions, it may not nail the concept of attending classes as well as Chamber of Secrets, even 20 years later. Though future Harry Potter games would try to capture this same feeling, they don't quite succeed, often getting bogged down with too many story missions. Instead, it feels as though the player is actually at Hogwarts, immersing themselves in the daily life of a Hogwarts student. The player isn't just following a set of linear missions as Harry as events from the movie play out. In giving players a schedule of classes to keep on top of, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets feels like the first truly immersive Wizarding World experience.
